For years I’ve put off watching My Dinner With Andre. Having now watched it, I understand it’s not for everyone. The first half was a struggle. It can be boring. But the second half really hit for me, and even 44 years later, some of the struggles discussed are as relevant now as they were then.

Operation prairie thunder circling an army helicopter (call sign 72258) over #siouxfalls again this evening.
Latest build: some cherry picture frames - framing up some National Park prints that I saved from a 2011 calendar. Corner splines are Katalox, which I’ve never used before but I think is good for small detail work like this.
Really proud of how these turned out.

Latest build: some cherry picture frames - framing up some National Park prints that I saved from a 2011 calendar. Corner splines are Katalox, which I’ve never used before but I think is good for small detail work like this.

Since I’m in that kind of mood this morning, here’s historical away points and ppg for #Crew96.
I think it’s clear Nancy changes things but it’s more than just away/home. Columbus plays their game no matter what & I absolutely love the mindset. Home? Toronto? Away? LAFC? Doesn’t matter.

Maybe this is elsewhere but I was curious so I mocked up a quick MLS away form table. A lot of heat about #Crew96 only leaving with a point last night, but they are getting the results. It’s still early days, but grinding out these tough points is going to pay off during the away heavy summer.

When using your bandsaw, don’t forget to tension the blade. Don’t ask me how I know. Could have been a dumber mistake I guess.

I needed a new planer sled for a secret project I’m working on. So, one 12” x 6’ piece of melamine later, I have one. I even experimented with dadoing and inserting the front cleat (part of the melamine I offcut). Probably overkill but that’s okay. Can’t wait to share the project.

I make wooden bookmarks out of interesting wood. They’re a fun accessory to add to reading physical books. Less useful if you read with audiobooks or digitally :)

Shoresy is one of the most surprising shows I've watched in a long time. I recently just finished the season 4 finale and I often forget how excellent the music is.
