We're going to have to incorporate this into our ever-growing head canon.
For most of DC history, there are only one or two known Kryptonians to exist and they’re very nice.

We joke a lot about Perry White trying to get Jimmy Olsen killed, and we can only assume that this comic depicts the alternate Earth where he achieves that goal.

By now, we're pretty expert in the workings of superhero signal watches. The key difference between Superman and the Beast is that while they both give special watches to loved ones whom they mistreat, Beast never actually says that he will do anything when he hears the signal.

I feel like any given panel from an old Superman's Pal Jimmy Olsen comic is like a molecule of DNA, containing all of the information required to build and maintain the entire series.
