With some of those huge returns today, it's hard to believe they didn't get any feasible offers, if they really wanted to trade him.
So -unless their expectations were unrealistic- one could conclude, they're trying to downplay Boesers market value in order to get a cheap extension done.

Now that the NHL trade news have calmed down, a few quick thoughts on the deadline:
Besides the Marchand and Rantanen moves, the day felt surprisingly low-event-esque. Maybe it was just the typical expectation vs reality discrepancy.. but in hindsight it was rather quiet compared to previous years.
