games are a great exercise for this. like, why a 2d scroller instead of an open world? RTS? VN? why was it important to make it this specific way? you'll find contemplating these questions can help expand a layer of artistic appreciation you didn't know was possible

'live action' adaptations of animation projects offends me. setting aside the cultural disrespect toward animation on a whole, it's a fundamental dismissal of animation as narrative -- the point of drawing is inherently allegorical and abstract. the metaphorical nature of animation IS the story

The National Archives are pivoting heavily into open white supremacy. Stuff like this has been happening at an increased clip for several years now. The fascism is baked into our institutions. We need to recognize that.
