Kinda sad about the “modesty” trend that seems to be taking over in gym locker rooms. It’s no longer just the hyping guys guarding their tightly-wrapped towels, careful not to show any butt cheek, side-eying anyone with their junk out.
One less (semi) public space to be comfortably naked in.

My daughter, who lives in Portland, sent me a picture of her drink from Applebees.
Frankly, I’m surprised she can even get to Applebees, what with Portland being such a war-torn hellscape.

It's so clear that there's a huge number of professionals in the US who carry with them traumatic memories of being excluded, laughed at, or looked down up on by the Smart Kids and who have basically made hostility to Smart Kids their entire personality, ideology, & worldview.
