I found this is in the house but I don’t know what it is!
I thought it might be the foot, from a cheap table, but it’s not. Screw top, clearly designed to hold liquid, has a “max” marking on it.
Otherwise, no idea. Help?

My feed at the other place became corrupted by people saying contentious things for engagement, and people (or bots) constantly reposting the same memes.
I’m now ruthlessly using the block button, and it seems to be working well…

This letter from John Steinbeck to Marilyn Monroe is pretty well known, I guess, though I just read it for the first time a couple minutes ago. I would be more surprised by how funny it is, if I hadn't read Steinbeck's Paris Review interview. In person, apparently, he was a hoot.
