Given that Amazon are saying this is only affecting us-east-1 (their primary Virginia datacentre) it's slightly surprising to see sites like UK banks and HMRC are being affected - you would think they would host services at the UK datacentre in London, or at least in a European one.

Auch Docker scheint down zu sein aufgrund der massiven Ausfälle bei Amazon. Das dürfte für viele digitale Dienste besonders kritisch sein – zumal wenn man Docker einsetzt, um von der Cloud unabhängiger zu werden.

Auch Docker scheint down zu sein aufgrund der massiven Ausfälle bei Amazon. Das dürfte für viele digitale Dienste besonders kritisch sein – zumal wenn man Docker einsetzt, um von der Cloud unabhängiger zu werden.

If you're wondering why so many of your apps and services aren't working properly this morning, it's because the AWS region US-EAST-1 is having... some problems, and that's where quite a lot of apps and services host what they need to function (👋 hi Duolingo, NYT Games etc)

Man könnte so viel aus dem Coup in den USA lernen. Zum Beispiel dass man Desinformation bekämpfen, Spaltung beenden und Populismus beerdigen muss. Lieber gemeinsam die immensen und komplexen Herausforderungen aus unterschiedlichen Perspektiven lösen.
