Packet mangler and hardware dork
Tori is one of those artists that both my wife and I were into when we met. I saw her once in Seattle in the 90s, and we managed to see her just recently on the last show of the "Ocean to Ocean" tour. Here's a shot of her playing two pianos at the same time.

I just had a grilled ham and cheese on a little of this bread and it's even prettier on the inside.

The theme is "whatever was cheap".

Salmon filet, tri-tip steaks, asparagus, and corn.

This year's mask is coming along beautifully. The RGB matrix on the front is too slow to participate in the gyro-driven effects that the filter lights use, but it still looks so pretty behind the diffusion layer.

I completely punted on power. There's just a 2-pin JST jack dangling out the bottom.

Top: after flying from JFK to CDG for our honeymoon in France.

Bottom: at the end of a three stop brewery tour in Chicago.

Great day on the lake today. We didn't get the boat out at all last year, and that bit us a little: the throttle and the steering were REALLY stiff. I didn't realize the yearly "winterization" and "summerization" we skipped included lubing up the bits & pieces! We managed, and I'll fix it tomorrow.

I may have used a bit too much flour in the bannetons.

Forkish's "white bread with poolish" from FWSY, one half proofed in a round basket and the other in an oval. Easy and forgiving, and I only have to prep the night before (vs 2 days to properly wake up my levain). Delicious, too.

I do internet traffic technology stuff for work. I have written HTTP clients and servers in many languages and every which way: good ones, bad ones, one-offs, enduring projects, toys, tools, etc. This URL parser in Python regex is one of which I am both particularly proud and deeply, deeply ashamed.

Fortunately, I have reassociated the name away from that trauma: this incredible borderpit is named John Hamburgler Roliver ("Rollie" for short). He got his middle name by stealing a whole-ass Arby's sandwich and eating it in like 3 seconds when he was a puppy.
