Chop Robinson showed out against the Patriots, showcasing his elite speed and get-off, but also power and nuance.

I broke down the film, and how Robinson registered 8 pressures on just 26 pass rush reps.

Waddle’s film from this past week was some of my favorite. Got to see his deep bag vs. press man, but the best part was watching him sell pick plays / clear outs to open up opportunities for others.

Ultimate team player
Jaylen Waddle (17) is going to get more opportunities eventually. Here he is wide open in the slot off of a blown coverage for what could have been a TD against the Raiders last week, but Tua's already decided to throw the out to Odell for a first down.

🚨NEW ARTICLE🚨

Since Week 9, Tua is credited with 14 under pressure pass attempts.

The results? 13/14 for 130 yards and a TD.

Tua is excelling out of structure since his return. Find out how he’s doing it and why I think it’s sustainable:

Look at Tua beginning his throwing motion in comparison to where this ball ends up (I marked it with an X)

Anticipation is off the charts

Tua Tagovailoa, despite missing 4 games, is 10th in cumulative EPA on plays longer than 2.5 seconds.
There are only 10 QBs with a positive EPA on these plays:

Jackson
Goff
Carr
Allen
Burrow
Purdy
Murray
Daniels
Love
Tagovailoa

Via NextGenStats
Tua Tagovailoa has been in the top 8 in total EPA in EACH of the last 3 games on plays longer than 2.5 seconds.

Week 9: 3rd (6.5 EPA)
Week 10: 8th (0.1 EPA)
Week 11: 5th (10.5 EPA)

New York Times has the Dolphins at a 15% chance to make the postseason with updated Week 11 results (and an assumption of a Chargers win).

If you pick them to win against Patriots, Jets 2x, and Browns, you are left with a 61% chance that changes based on picks vs. GB, HOU, & SF.

Vegas' ability to create traffic and generate quick hitters outside has been a disaster for Miami. Bowers eats too much space vs. Zone, can't be guarded in man.

This has become practice for Miami attempting execution-based offense in the face of defenses keeping their safeties so high they can’t keep going to Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle as much as they did last year. This sort of positive play after play, patient and consistent execution has been missing.

I know a lot of people are going to get on Mike McDaniel for that end of half drive but the real issue was Tyreek Hill not getting out of bounds on that first play. The final play, the idea is simply to force the defense to play clean and not get a penalty that puts you in long FG range.

There was a brief period there where I was watching QBs with an eye towards Miami being in that market. Tua coming back and playing the best ball of his career changes that, but I thought I’d share my thoughts here ahead of this college football Saturday.

My top guy is Cam Ward, but you knew that 🧵

the ability to balance sorting through traffic with being a heat seeking missile is so special from Brooks.

Watching his Mike tape from ‘22 in Seattle it was one of my favorite traits, and it’s as advertised
