I think if this wants to be done it needs to actually be put in front of their face
As in, developers should be (need to be) hitting the inbox right now with this. Get discussions going within their walls y'know?

Seconded. I think that lowering the "Steam tax" to 15% for the first $20k will cost Valve very little, but have a significant impact on indie developers.
Valve could easily lower their 30% revenue cut for small games and it wouldn't cost them much (Apple and Google do 15%) but Steam doesn't have any strong competition and devs want to be on Steam either way. IMO if indies got slightly more money, there would also be more viable games to compete with.
