Had been wondering when the wealth gap / disparity in resources would allow them to feel this way.

In the past, the surveillance state had reasonable hacks which even unsophisticated people could manipulate. It doesn't now.

This is where big money feels secure enough in their allocation of capital and their resources [AI, surveillance, social media] that they believe they cannot be defeated.
It is like a point in Monopoly when the game normally ends.

I thought the newest story about him was that he starred in a music video for a song called Kash Patrol, a song about a man whose super power is looking into a crowd in two directions at once. He finds the suspect, a person who is both to his right and to his left. The refrain is: "K-k-kash Patrol!"
