Car bad
Asking this because I want to move there. Running for the train is humiliating.

It’s really silly that we allow semi-trucks in the city, esp. on streets like Denny

Don’t hear much fuss about the wetland being destroyed for this project either..

*run red lights

I doubt the type of person who would flee the scene of a crash would obey a stop sign. Drivers red lights at the intersection by the light rail station all the time

I will probably start driving if they do this. Glad they studied the option, now let's lay it to rest forever.

Better idea: build a Ballard stub at street level, and raise the street and all intersections to the second floor ala Seattle underground. Should save at least $5.

Cut them some slack, they only had 17 years to plan around the station 🙄

My dream is rail replacing the I-5 express lanes (probably not at high speeds in the city) and excavating a new station by the convention center

This pisses me off whenever I’m walking through to the 7 bus. Also wish we would close the adjacent section of 23rd Ave to cars; it’s a death trap.

Operators can drive buses. It’s the 21st century goddamnit.

It’s a huge improvement ofc but it always gets PR for being a freeway removal project when it just isn’t
