Car bad
Why aren’t we doing this?

For a brief and very early window, the 60 mile journey is comparable to driving and likely faster with a bike. I can shave off ~20 minutes by biking to the ferry terminal.

I can’t recommend the Kitsap Fast Ferry + Jefferson Route 14 combo enough

Because nobody uses the bike lane 🙃

One of the least usable sidewalks I’ve seen in Seattle, right next to the I-90 exit and a stones throw from the yet-to-be-opened Judkins Park Station.

Meanwhile in Seattle 🫠

Really love playing this game of “which bus is actually coming?” 🙃 How is real time arrival this broken consistently?

If Metro can install cctv on buses, when will we finally get displays that show more than one stop at a time, like these ones in New York?

Very cute walkable historic downtown. Multiple public beaches on the waterfront. Shame about all the cars tho. So hard to take a photo of downtown without cars. Just begging for some pedestrian streets.

Very successful journey to Port Townsend via the Kitsap Fast Ferry and the (free) Jefferson Transit Route 14. This trip might actually be faster than driving depending on time of day.

How is this acceptable?

Tbh I've been so disgusted by I-5 I never really considered how many homes I-90 destroyed

On a positive note, I recently completed my most multimodal journey yet, finally riding the Kitsap Fast Ferry from Kingston. I realized I am temporally closer to Kingston than several areas of Seattle.

I fucking knew that SDOT would waste everyone’s time discussing alternatives, only to copy/paste what Shoreline did 25 years ago. What a joke. Here’s what this will look like irl:

Rarely a day where I don't fantasize about filling all of these surface parking lots in Bitter Lake with high density housing and green space.

Currently mourning Corridor D and the missed opportunity to serve Belltown, Upper Queen Anne and Fremont on the way to Ballard.
July 7, 2025 at 5:58 PM
Love the E-Line. Wish Link ran this often (on all lines).
June 7, 2025 at 12:01 AM
Reminder that there is still a subway station in the middle of Downtown Seattle with a fucking parking garage on top

Almost died in that north diagonal crosswalk over 23rd when a driver ran a red light turning right from Rainier. Here’s how I would fix that
May 11, 2025 at 10:47 PM
Gotta nominate 23rd and Rainier as one of the top 3 worst intersections in Seattle. Somehow worse than Rainier and MLK a few blocks south.

Still the best streetscape in the city tho
April 24, 2025 at 10:15 PM
C’mon @seattledot.bsky.social, just kick the cars out. You’re so close..

Filling out the e-bike rebate application last minute and it lets you enter birth years up to the year 3000 😵‍💫
April 23, 2025 at 3:15 AM
Imagine this but with the density surrounding Cal Anderson
