A5: I've read mostly non-fiction this year. The most informative and inspiring stuff I've read is from Boston College historian Heather Cox Richardson. She talks politics in a sane, calm manner. I write horror, and after reading her I realized real life is much more frightening.

Finally! The shutdown has ended so there is a new Astronomy Picture of the Day from NASA! I use it as my homepage. A different pic daily. I used to have SETI At Home as my homepage, but I don't think it exists anymore. There were one or two odd findings at SETI At Home. Aliens are here! LOL

My coasters from the game Riven have arrived! Riven is one of my favorite games. The coasters are made to look like stained glass like in the game. The sigils are are a whark (a carnivorous fish), a frog, a scarab, a fish, and a bird.

I'm kinda pissed off. Several of my stories have appeared in #anthologies this year. I've received neither author copies nor payment yet. Most of books have not been promoted much if at all. I'm ready to give up #writing entirely. Either that or submit only to pro markets so I don't get ripped off.

#5amwritersclub - It's Sunday! My husband has the week off so it's party time! Actually... he's building models and I'm watching Ray Bradbury Theater. I love Bradbury's "The Screaming Woman". I translated into French for my high school French class. Such fun!

This Sunday is the book release party for THE LIZZIE BORDEN HOUSE ANTHOLOGY. It's being held at the Lizzie Borden B&B in Fall River, MA, from 2 to 4 PM EST. There will be drinks, nibbles, and tours of the house for a small fee. My story THE HOUSE NEXT DOOR is in this book.

Slept in this morning. My knee feels much better, but I'm wearing the brace to stay on the safe side. It still feels a bit wibbly wobbly. Otherwise, I'm well. Submitted my flash fiction story and now it's hurry up and wait time.
