This is the best political news I’ve seen in a very long time — so please pass it on👇

Each state can limit Citizens United in their own state & they don’t have to wait for other states to do it.

"Harvard can't use race as a factor in admissions, but ICE can use race as a factor in detentions" is a retrenchment essentially to a pre-Civil War understanding of the Constitution. It's vanishingly few steps removed from "Latinos have no rights which the white man is bound to respect."

A guy whose fraudulent university was shut down is telling the Ivy League what to do.

A guy whose businesses went bankrupt multiple times is telling the Fed what to do.

A guy whose best friend was a child sex trafficker is telling the DOJ what to do.

That it’s all the same guy is pretty wild.

Phang: Holy crap. Think about that. Oh—did I just say “holy”? Well, it fits…

So, the church keeps its tax-exempt status while actively engaging in politics. Of course, this becomes a way to funnel money and circumvent campaign finance laws. Think about that.

The Senate tried to sell our public lands. Now, they are trying to sell off our ocean.

The massive budget reconciliation bill, working its way through the Senate, is proposing to sell leases on over 80 million acres of the ocean for new offshore oil and gas drilling — and that’s just in year one.

Maybe corny but it was helpful for me to hear Henry Rollins saying "this is not time to be dismayed, this is punk rock time, this is what Joe Strummer trained you for... You can be thunderous in your own life, to the eight people around you. That rubs off... Goodness is viral"

Don’t forget to get outside, be barefoot, take deep breaths while looking at the sky. It’s important to stay connected to things you care about, the things that are worth fighting for.

There is darkness all around, but there is also still beauty and compassion for those willing to stop and look.
