The last lynching in America was the murder of Michael Donald in Mobile, Alabama, in 1981. The perpetrators, members of the Ku Klux Klan. The murder of James Bryd in 1998 can also be considered a lynching. Not a few generations away- just a month ago 2 men were found "hanging" in Mississippi.
