Life is unpredictable. this is my summation of 2023. today marks the last day of the year and I found myself unsure of what to do. so I reached out to my mom, even though it was 1 am in Korea, and she hadn't slept at the time.

whenever I talk to my mom, I feel nauseous. I think it's her way of talking. her expectations for me have always been high, and she believes everything I've achieved is just luck, not my abilities or efforts. her refusal to acknowledge that erodes my confidence and self esteem.

My good days are over.. but a stable and somewhat boring life awaits. Today I was asked to return to a full-time position so 40 hours per week start next week. Meh... I guess it's a good thing? lol
