I have had traditional western methods fail me while traditional eastern ones haven’t, then the next week had the reverse happen. My body has not ever fit a One Size Fits All standard of care, and neither do my illnesses. Where do I find folks who don’t scoff at the other side?

I have a very weird medical profile, so I probably wouldn’t be a good candidate for a study. But damn, how do I find other things that make this big of an impact for me without completely deriding the more traditional medical interventions that keep me alive? Why is it always one or the other?

Acupuncture is so rarely covered by any insurances and while I know it’s not for everyone, but it has been literally life changing for me as I work to manage chronic illnesses and disabilities that seem to be getting more intense. I wish I could help with research on this somehow. #chronicillness
