The difference between the US and Canada is that Trumps Big Beautiful Bill is seen as cataclysmic for average citizens. While Carney’s Omnibus Bill with many of the same cuts offers hope. The difference is Trump is a narcissistic vengeful Troll and Carney is a globally trusted banker.It’s a toss up

What’s happening on Bluesky? I’m back to being followed by “Shady Ladies” who want to flash their boobs and ass, and earnest young men in uniform looking for meaningful relationships or silver foxes with pix of their great car and large dog. Most of them have 0~3 posts of their own.

Skilled trades require annual 4~6 wk apprenticeship courses, often far from home to upgrade specialized skills. The program is well funded in terms of tuition, and a training allowance but rural workers need to live away from home, Who looks after the kids and home on evenings and weekends?

I was expecting horror stories and all the photos were inspiring. The one of the break dancing frog and the circle of ICE officers clapping to the music was the best but the crowds on roller skates with flashing lights were super too. I hope there are still blow up costumes available for Halloween

This video of the "ICE" agent [?] with no ID, who thinks claiming to be in the DHS means he's allowed to drive his kids around drunk answers two questions:
1. Many ICE agents probably *are* just cosplaying vigilantes with issues; and

Canadian Thanksgiving dinner in a layered crustless pie of all the familiar flavours. Turkey onions,mushrooms sausage, carrots, mashed potato and squash, with a topping of seasoned bread crumbs. Each layer precooked the day before and then cooked together for 1 1/2 hrs before serving

There is a woman Archbishop of Canterbury. Praise the Lord. I have five Anglican priests in my English family. When my late uncle was a priest, this was unthinkable. This is not DEI this is the Holy Spirit moving in the church, finding the best for the times we are in. God speaks thru women and men

Trump’s Gaza deal might be more impressive if he hadn’t suggested sending all the Gazans to Egypt and rebuilding Gaza as a luxury vacation spot for the ultra rich several months ago. There has to be a win for Gazans too.

They just tear-gassed us. They tried to run us over in a van holding a peaceful protester. They shot us with pepper balls. They dragged another protester into the facility.

Has anyone noticed the menu at the dinner for Donald Trump? Watercress pana cotta and chicken ballotine wrapped in sliced zuchinni. Somebody call MacDonalds!! Don’t ever think this was toadying to Trump. It’s English cuisine at its most hoity-toity. We are the gourmets you are the glutton.
