Does anyone have suggestions for SF & F in which the main character is a full time wheelchair user?

Literally asking this for a friend who uses a chair and wants to see themselves in a book.

I was recently hiking a section of the Appalachian Trail and stayed in shelters built by the CCC. And walked other trails in state parks that were laid out by the CCC and the whole time thought “I would totally sign up for this if it was a thing today. Why isn’t this happening now?!”

For this week's Closer Look, we showcase our Founder and President Erica Payne’s and member Abigail Disney's speeches to global leaders at the IMF and World Bank.

Their message was clear: to save democracy, we must confront extreme wealth.

It costs ~$70 to produce a year’s supply of insulin.

Yet, the average annual cost of insulin went from $2,864 in 2012 to $5,705 in 2016 to $18,000 in 2025. A 25,714% markup. That isn’t inflation or supply chain—It’s corporate greed.

Now—California will sell insulin for $11. Make this nationwide!

As the only state in the nation that will provide free legal advice to protect the LGBTQ+ community, we'll help fight ignorance with information and cruelty with compassion.

What drives me insane is that the richest people in this country are the biggest freeloaders. They rake in subsidies, hide behind loopholes, and still hoard more wealth than they could ever spend. And yet they’ve got the audacity to complain?

We're sick of y'all! 🙄

This is what happens when you treat journalism as the “neutral” presentation of how the public “feels” about things versus informing the public with news you have gleaned through reporting that is informed by shared democratic values
CNN data guru Harry Enten calls the Epstein story a "nothingburger" because Google searches have fallen off in the past week, says Trump's approval rating is "pretty gosh-darn good" right now, and commends Trump for having "some of the best political instincts of any politician I‘ve seen."

Valve just updated their Steam rules to ban content that “may violate rules set by payment processors or banks.” Sounds boring. It’s not. It’s the quiet normalization of financial censorship and it’s going to hurt LGBTQ+ games and devs

Okay, take it to the ballot then. 🙂 If you think Portlanders overwhelmingly want to force us to double police staff in exchange for basically everything else, go for it. I'm being serious, put your paid push polls to the test, & ask voters to spend $300m more on police.

And nobody is "constantly scolding" young men. Being told that women are equal human beings isn't scolding. Being told that men are also people and not uncontrolled animals is the opposite of scolding! This shit never makes any sense to me.

Anderson Cooper: So it's more expensive to allow a chronically homeless person to live on the streets than it is to actually subsidize an apartment for them?
