Id love something on determining the mechanical properties of polymers from a combination of calculations on the dynamic interactions between the individual chains! Crystalline bulk materials are boring.

And we have had good tools for data analysis for a long time. Ones you can understand. Science is about understanding process. LLMs are about "here is the solution! Process? What process?" These are not the same thing.

Academics...don't tend to check. When yall last bought compounds for screening...did you get LCMS and NMR of them? I don't mean with them. Of them. Yourself. No? My advice: go do that.

And...in the intervening month, the pharma team published in acta crystollographica. And basically screamed at their screening counterparts. Compounds were impure. Mislabeled. Decomposed. Insoluble. Kds were meaningless in that data set. The company admitted it and checked.
