I'll get back to "party unity" as soon as the Senate Minority Leader tells us if he voted for the Democratic party nominee for mayor of his city.

I'm tired of party unity only ever running one way.

I understand that this is controversial but I think that women are oppressed as women and should organize on behalf of their gendered self-interest.

Cursed to perpetually be more interested in side characters than main characters

Wasn’t expecting this novel to have a character with anorexia, let alone for it to be expressed so appropriately for the situation (it’s not the focus of the story, they’re just a character with it). Kinda heartbreaking to me, each scene it manifests

Abt once every 6 months I think about how as a kid I wanted to do a bisexual polyamorous marriage with my stuffed animals. My mom said I can’t do that, that’s not god’s plan for marriage, and I was just like “sounds fake but you’re the boss I guess”

i wouldn't be a total glenn youngkin hater if i didn't mention that the results tonight mean that his total tenure amounted to presiding over the destruction — at least for the next few years — of the virginia republican party. lmao.

It's time to get over the shock and the scapegoating of November 2024. The reality is--as it has always been--that the existence of transgender people is not a drag on the Democratic Party. We have yet more indefatigable proof of this point. Lock in and win.

When we look at this gubernatorial campaign where Earle-Sears tried for an all-transphobia-all-the-time campaign against Spanberger, and didn't even make a dent in her 15 point victory, we need to draw some vital conclusions here: transphobia is not killing the Dems. Period. Get over it.

The headline about Spanberger's blowout victory in VA--along with the Dems romping in the House of Delegates--is that transphobia really doesn't work as an electoral secret weapon. And this fact needs to set in, despite the dearest wishes of the most ossified members of the commentariat.
