Brazilian flavour for this showcase of cool VG magazine covers from across several generations.

Looking at a broad picture of several different magazines across the '90s and early 2000s, bespoke illustrations are still more common than game renders for the cover - very happy to see that.
A scan of the cover of PlayStation Magazine from 2001 with Tidus in profile on the cover and Final Fantasy as the cover theme with X, XI, and Spirits Within highlighted. VideoGame goes large in the mid 90s with Virtua Racing and Super Metroid as headline features. Plus the Making of the VII Guest. A crouching Samus in her suit dominates the cover. Brazil's own version of Electronic Gaming Monthly with an anime invasion in June 2003! Inuyasha, Luffy, Yugioh, Kite, and another character I'm not sure about are posed together with much dynamic energy! Super Game Power in 1997 goes large with Lara Croft blazing away as Tomb Raider II is the cover feature. Einhander, Alundra, Shining Force III, Quake, and uh, Arkanoid for the SNES are also listed as features.

We put this on after listening to Nick Drake, because of the ND reference in the song ‘I Wish’.

I’ve always liked this LP but hearing it again now I’m even more impressed by the quality of the songs and the production. Brilliant.
