Formerly quinellaqueen at twitter. Also, former librarian, former assistive technology specialist. Still love books and horse racing.
I am already so tired of AI misinformation. I know this result saying Sovereignty won the Triple Crown is wrong, because I watched all of the Triple Crown races this year. Bet on them too. But what of folks who don't follow racing much? Do they think we had a Triple Crown Winner in 2025?

As a Pittsburgher, I am seldom concerned with the World Series. But for some reason this year, I’m just riveted. didn’t hurt that the Blue Jays pitcher in game 1 was from my hometown. Still, I can’t figure out why I’m watching this.

I like to remind people about lifetime limits and the refusal of insurers to sell coverage to people with preexisting conditions.

The ACA has issues. But those 2 things alone make it worth saving and fixing.

So, Judy Collins, yes, JUDY COLLINS, will be reading her poetry at my library on Sat. (5/31). Apparently, 2000 people signed up for the event & that's just too many for him. In all fairness, when we hiked in Cook's Forest, we saw a total of 12 people. He felt that it was too crowded. But, Judy C!

Still not sure how I'm going to play the Louisiana Derby, but I know that my mission as a Pittsburgher is to take a flyer on Yinzer (in black and gold silks, y'all!) across the board.

A final wreath to lay on my thread. While I didn't grow up with much & my life as a freelance artist has taken some difficult turns, I do give what I can each year to The Carter Center.

Just watched The Sound of Music on the ol’ telly. How are there Nazis here in the USA when we all grew up watching Captain von Trapp tearing up that Nazi flag?

My favorite bookmark, ever! I think it's from the late 1990's. Maybe early 2000s. On the reverse it notes: "Just because it's on the Internet, doesn't make it true." Thanks World Book Online!
