Addiction, homelessness, and the toxic drug supply exists in every community even in small towns with a population of 700 residents. Looking forward to sharing my story of overcoming addiction to the amazing town of Norman Wells. #Wedorecover #Inspireothers

Police are telling Moms Stop the Harm that it’s ok for the group to remain on the sidewalk outside the hospital. Asked whether there’ll be any problems from @CityOfVictoria bylaw officers, Sgt Craig Barker says there shouldn’t be. “Protesting is a protected right,” Sgt said.

Doctors/Moms stop the harm working with @vicpdcanada to find the right place to set up. Doctors/group want to liaise with police, not talking to Island Health any longer after what sounded like frustrating back and forths.

Police say they’re wanting to find a solution.

Let me simplify :
The root cause of addiction is trauma.
The root cause of unregulated poisoned drug supply is bad policies.
Until we address the root causes addiction will continue to go untreated, and people will continue to die of illicit drugs.
