The Gift of the Magi by O. Henry

This is a tree ornament book! I will be selling this and other short story miniature books that will make a great addition to your trees this winter at The Obscure in Los Angeles.

I made a small book of 10 poems I want to memorize in 2026. Gonna keep it in my bag whenever I go out, and work on memorizing them while I’m on the train or riding the bus.

China is apparently rolling out a law that requires influencers to have a degree to talk about important subjects like finance, health and law by the way. Given the amount of twats with podcasts single handedly spreading misinformation and destroying society, I don’t think this is a bad plan.

If nothing else, going against the grain to do what you need to to protect yourself is good practice for all the other ways we will need to refuse the status quo going forward.

"We keep us safe" has to mean something at the most basic level of public health to mean anything. Put the mask back on 😷🖤

There is a difference between hate speech, and free speech. It seems many folks still need to learn that distinction when deciding on who to demand your empathy for. And how lucky for you, that you and your community have never experienced the violent and terrifying consequences of someone's hate speech that you can so quickly demand it be forgiven and ignored.
