I don’t know who this literal grandma is behind me at Kill Bill, but she’s asking questions periodically and it’s adorably hilarious. Bless her and the boys (teens) who convinced her to come.

We can all admit there’s a perfect level and attentiveness of traffic, right? Like where everyone is operating rationally and signaling with enough notice that you can actually see little conversations and adjustments happening in real time. A flow state that’s the best to drive in. I chase that.

Listening to high-ranking people in my field of work talk about the benefits cliff like it's some new concept to them shows just how truly broken government is in red states.

"But people are going hungry!"

Almost like you had 40+ days to organize a sustained resistance food pantry in coordination with local non-profit and faith-based leaders to keep people fed, create good Dem PR, create national infrastructure, and prime new candidates for 2026 in local elections.

I kind of hate when the more "elitist" of any hobby is right about something. The difference between the music I listened to growing up and those same albums with some legit headphones and lossless audio really is a lot better.

The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person.

The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person.

People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.

And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.

Finding out that the biggest pain in my ass at work is not licensed to practice and got their JD from a non ABA accredited school makes me feel so much better. I ultimately got a different degree, but 1 full year of law school was more than enough for me to know our “expert” was anything but.

Over moderation of the internet is a plague. People shouldn’t be protected from hurt feelings just because they’re being “polite” in their own rudeness.

“Moms know best.” No they inherently don’t. And calling out that sexism in a DAD-focused space doesn’t make me “the asshole here.”

Given the dozens of hours and FIVE days where I’ve missed some sliver of work while dealing with #StateFarm and my general distaste for AI, the fact that Amazon’s chat AI fixed my “nonreturnable” screw up by their packer in less time than it takes to piss is really sending me.

If they want to rule with bread and circuses, you’d think the bread would be cheaper and the circuses would be more fun.

The only way I can describe the cottage industry of people in nerd fandom whose sole purpose is to find things to be angry about while also, at BEST, stretching the truth or showing their own idiocy, is the discourse following any TS album. I wish some folks loved me the way you guys hate her.

Me: We re-wrote the policy

Boss: They want to see every change red-lined.

Me: No...we RE-WROTE the policy

Boss: Yeah...doesn't matter. She wants to see every change. It's dumb.

I have real work to do. Instead, I'm wasting time going line by line for someone's power trip.

The way I could hear the UPS truck outside my house. hear him drop something off across the street...and then drive off to keep circling the neighborhood with my Steam Deck still in tow. Talk about a tease.

Toddlers. Where we use an AirPods case and an old face mask to explain why light travels faster than sound for a real ELI5. This crap doesn’t come with a handbook.

Real talk though, Weather Hunters on PBS is great.

2 + 2 is always going to = 4. You can have a million decimals of space in between, but 2 and 2 make 4. That isn't a happy 4, or a sad 4. It's an inevitable 4. Don't want to make any more 4? Then you need to start changing the numbers.

Bruh. Why does Bojangles have a robot answering the drive thru? If I’m not talking to another human being who clearly doesn’t want to be talking to me either, then I don’t want it. There’s a charm to the drive thru that fake Siri just doesn’t get.
