This highlighted comment for Premier @davidebybc.bsky.social is true, but him using it here is breathtakingly disingenuous, as it implies his government no longer allows clearcutting in old-growth forests, which it absolutely does.

No one is free until we're all free, and our communities won't be whole or just or thriving and just until they are safe for trans folks to live and grow and enjoy life like everyone else.

Love and solidarity to every trans person everywhere.

We asked our five year-old if we should do a family Halloween costume this year. She said “you should be laundry, cause that’s what you do every day.” 💀💀💀

When we asked her what part of the laundry she wanted to be she said “oh no I’m going to be a fancy butterfly” ??!!?!?

Family Halloween rules.

I'm sure the BC NDP government is being honest with these new relationships about how many for products from B.C. come from the destruction of non-renewable old-growth forests that it has promised to protect, right?

Right?

“This isn’t a highway expansion project, it’s a destruction project.”

WSANEC Elder Carl Olsen, the heart and soul of the growing movement to protect Goldstream River, speaking to a big crowd on the lawn of the legislature.

Real talk though: nothing makes me feel more alienated from my species than AI use.

I’ve never used ChatGPT or any other AI app, nor have I even really been tempted to.

Took my kid down to visit our grouchiest neighbours after school pick up yesterday.

These things are absolute units, with horrific breath and even worse attitudes. I love them.

In 2015 I was speaking at a demonstration at the COP21 climate summit in Paris, and an elderly couple walked up and joined the crowd that was listening. I recognized Jane Goodall, and immediately froze and couldn’t talk.

it feels a little on the nose for logging industry lobbyists to look this much like mobsters intimidating a public official into delivering favours lol

No jurisdiction that still allows clearcutting of its last 1000 year-old trees will have a forest sector that is resilient, innovative or sustainable.

Not paying their workers is much more important to these greedy sacks of shit than your summer travel plans, and we shouldn’t forget that.

Last Thursday this little summer sunshine surprised us and joined our family 2.5 weeks early.

We named her Juniper Erin Dumoulin Coste.

We’re all at home now, getting to know our little one and adjusting to our life as a family of four.

Feeling grateful for this big boi as those temps get up there today.

Check in on your friends and loved ones who are vulnerable to heat or precariously housed

(and support the call for heat pumps for all!)

Politicians take every opportunity to post online about the things they're proud of.

It says everything about Bill 15 that progressive MLA's who are active on twitter like @christineboyle.bsky.social and @josieosborne.bsky.social haven't mentioned it once.
