I’m currently in Spain and reading El Pais daily (to improve Spanish )- it’s so refreshing to have in depth analysis of the world issues rather than propagandist headlines like we get in the U.K. we receive whitewashed news even from @bbcnews 🤬🤬🤬

@rthonwesstreeting.bsky.social why can women book smear tests through nhs app yet men can’t book prostate checks? Putting barriers in place when men are reluctant to seek medical treatment anyway seems crazy! Or maybe it is just a cost gate keeping exercise for gp practice at a cost of men’s health
When the #nhs tells you to get checks e.g prostate check especially as a man in 50s and you call gp practice to add test to other tests already having done can’t do has to go through GP so inefficient - yet I can book a cervical smear test through NHS app?!!No common sense barriers to care for men
