A few days ago I tried to top up my sugar with some rice. This was the wrong thing to. I soon realised that separating rice from sugar is as fun as it is easy.
So I dug up, and turned it all into rice pudding - cream, milk, honey, custard powder. Delicious!
Served here with lemon curd ice cream.

Made a very non-traditional take on bubur for dinner (Malaysian congee). All down with leftovers and pantry staples, and neglected veg. And some dates and almonds because it seemed a good idea.
