The Trump regime's refusal to say the names of the Dallas ICE victims exposes the inhumanity of American fascism.

George Packer has a must-read analysis of our current state of "soft" authoritarianism, where rights are diminished rather than abolished, and for most of us most of time life still seems, personally, pretty normal.

By putting the world’s richest man, who is also an attention magnet, in charge of making unpopular cuts to things like Headstart, food safety, and cancer research, Donald Trump made a big mistake. Here are some thoughts on how Democrats can make him pay. www.messageboxnews.com/p/how-to-mak...

This is admittedly in part self-serving but if you value the work individual journalists are doing at The Post but are nervous about the paper institutionally, it's important to send signals — shares, clicks, comments — in support of the work you like instead of only criticizing what you don't.

My new deep dive on how Trump “won” the popular vote.

I put “won” in quotes because it wasn’t his win, but Harris’s loss. The results were not a “swing right” embracing Trump/MAGA, but a vote of no confidence in Democrats (and in our system as a whole).
