A huge milestone: Argentina creates Patagonia Azul Provincial Park! This immense coastal-marine area of 729,000 acres is roughly the size of Yosemite National Park in the US and is Chubut province’s first marine provincial park. A win for #biodiversity and #conservation!

Jaguars were almost extinct in Argentina before Kristine Tompkins and @tompkinsconserve.bsky.social began their reintroduction work in the early 2000s. Today, their efforts have resulted in over 40 jaguars being dispersed across Argentina and other countries.
