Golden State coach Steve Kerr made another plea for gun reform after a famed former football coach in the Bay Area died after being shot at the college campus where he worked as athletic director:

Nick Kerr has fond memories of his days as a Spurs intern.

“I was really, really lucky to have been with them,” he said.

Now, he’s taking what he learned from Pop and his “insanely talented staff” to forge his own way as an assistant with the Warriors.

The Spurs’ 7 p.m. home game vs. Memphis on Tuesday will be televised nationally on NBC/Peacock, the team announced. It was originally scheduled to air on Fan Duel Sports Network.

Spurs will host a Thanksgiving food drive to support families in need at the Nov. 18 & Nov. 20 home games, where fans can donate nonperishable food items at bins outside the arena staffed by San Antonio Food Bank volunteers.

Donations can also be dropped off at the Frost’s SE VIP Lobby Nov. 18-25.

Warriors, who face the Spurs tonight, are in the midst of their 4th b2b of the season after losing last night at OKC. They have 5 b2bs scheduled in the first 4 weeks of the season, most in the NBA, per their PR staff.

They are also in the midst of a stretch where they play 10 of 12 on the road.

De'Aaron Fox celebrated his return from a hamstring injury in typical De'Aaron Fox fashion - with plenty of points and a clutch basket.

"I'm good at basketball so you can still have rust and be able to do that," he said of his second period scoring outburst.

Wemby had 18 points and 18 rebounds, and the Spurs had a season-best 31 assists to improve to 7-2 overall and 5-0 at home.
