The tank is a German #Tiger captured by Allied Forces in WWII near Tunis, North Africa. Tigers needed an immense amount of maintenance and were often captured because they ran out of fuel. The tank had tens of thousands of parts. #tigertank #Wehrmacht

German prisoner helps British wounded make their way to dressing station 19 July 1916, during Battle of Somme. I wonder if anyone even remembers the Battle of the Somme. Such a waste. 20,000 British soldiers KIA on first day 1 July 1916. Worst loss in British history. 1.1mm kia/wia in 4 months.
