It's so, so cool when different artists work on the same book, seeing everyone's interpretations of the characters and how they bring about the tone of the story, which elements each person is drawn to, etc.

It's so, so cool when different artists work on the same book, seeing everyone's interpretations of the characters and how they bring about the tone of the story, which elements each person is drawn to, etc.

More #Murderbot stuff; early days (pre-casting). I pitched a "living helmet" design long before we'd settled on using The Company's logo as MB's face. I'd hoped this could cover the opaque/transparent iterations, as well as provide some fearsome, almost Rorschach-blot-esue patterns for intimidation.

A recent cover for @jdrhodesman.bsky.social, for a series described as "The Boys + Neon Genesis Evangelion." It lives up to the hype, but is more philosophical / self-aware (in some ways, all the caveats, etc. etc.) and is more like "The Girls + Getting Goosebumps from the Awesomeness." #booksky
