If you're going to moderate some people for things you don't moderate other people for, people will be upset. Not saying it's the wrong decision (if I were in their shoes I'd probably do the same) but that's a cost of that decision.

Well, sure, but that thread brings up the same issue I have every time one of these moderation issues comes up. Bluesky decided not to ban government accounts making threats. I get that that Bluesky doesn't want to start a fight with the US government but that's obviously going to upset people
