I don’t think anyone is prepared for what they just did w/ ICE.

This is not a simple budget increase. It is an explosion - making ICE bigger than the FBI, US Bureau of Prisons, DEA,& others combined.

It is setting up to make what’s happening now look like child’s play. And people are disappearing.

"Your unionization efforts have forced us/them to cut jobs" is classic union-busting. Don't fall for it.
Unionization definitely caused the Microsoft layoffs, as clearly nonunion jobs have been safe at Microsoft and indeed across the industry.

An argument I've seen against unionization is that workers demanding better from employers will only incentivize bosses to replace them with AI. There is nothing you can give to or give-up for a growth-obsessed CEO that would discourage them from trying this regardless. Fight for what's yours now.

Everything was fine until Trump decided to unleash violent raids w/o grounds in elementary schools, shopping areas, & peaceful public spaces.

ICE then illegally blocked Members of Congress entry into the facilities they are disappearing people into, escalating the situation.

Let’s start there.

It is 100% carrying water for the opposition to participate in this collective delusion that Dems for some reason need to answer for every teen who throws a rock rather than hold the Trump admin accountable for intentionally creating chaos and breaking the law to stoke violence.

They are in charge.

While the magnitude of the challenge is “indisputable”, there are “abundant opportunities for accelerating mitigation”, the report says. It finds that global emissions could be cut by 54% by 2030 and 72% by 2035 at a cost of less than $200 per tonne of CO2.

Humans tend to underestimate the pace of innovation and overestimate the inertia of incumbent technologies.

Clean energy technologies have scaled much more rapidly than predicted by modellers.
