There's the potential for some notably wet and windy weather later this weekend 🌧️🌬️

As models align on the forecast, there are a few scenarios that we're currently assessing

Stay up to date for the latest information
Potential for very windy conditions Sunday 14 / Monday 15 September. Preferred solution - 70%. Mature low northwest of Scotland. Windy - gales in exposed west and perhaps far north. Rain, locally heavy, sweeps northeast followed by showers. Alternative solution 1 - 20%. Less developed low running across the UK. Windy in the south with gales in exposed places. Rain for many, sunshine and showers in the north. Alternative solution 2 - 10%. Deeper/developing low runs across the UK. Risk of gales more widely, severe in exposed areas. Rain for many, heavy and persistent for a time.

Colder, more wintry weather is arriving early next week, but how will this look across the country, and which of us are most likely to see the first snow of the season? ❄️
Two possible scenarios showing the most likely weather forecasts for the UK on Monday 18th and Thursday 19th November. On the left, a map of the UK with low pressure across central England. To the south of the low pressure a red arrow pointing east indicating a warmer westerly flow, and to the north a shorter blue arrow pointing west indicating a colder easterly flow.
