The officers involved in this detention say they feel like a “newborn giraffe with wobbly legs” when conducting immigration enforcement because their training consists of a “one hour class online”. You can’t make this up.

Here you have a Florida Fish & Wildlife officer detaining an individual who was fishing and admitting they have been directed to “check with immigration on anyone who gives us a passport and doesn’t appear to be a citizen”, which sounds a lot like racial profiling.

This is what happens to parked vehicles belonging to people who are detained when called for routine appointments at the Miramar (and other) ICE processing centers. Their vehicles are often towed, which is a racket for the towing companies involved.

The state of Florida is now removing the U.S. citizen arrest category from this dashboard tracking immigration arrests altogether, but we know they mistakenly detain U.S. citizens, as was the case of Juan Carlos Lopez Gomez in Leon County.

Miami New Times confirming that a big immigration enforcement operation is coming to South Florida, and deportation officers from out of state are headed to Miami this weekend to assist.

🚨Another big immigration enforcement operation coming to Florida: DHS is asking deportation officers from other states to head to Miami to "assist ERO Miami" with a 287g operation this weekend. Please be cautious.

In case you missed it: a little noticed Florida state dashboard showed several instances of immigration enforcement arresting U.S. citizens. When the Miami New Times asked about it, most of those arrests disappeared from the dashboard and public view.

Florida’s immigration crackdown dashboard reportedly showed the arrests of 21 U.S. citizens—until a local paper asked questions.

Trump’s DHS appointees have dismantled civil rights guardrails, protected agents’ anonymity and encouraged them to wear masks, threatened groups that stood in their way, and overwhelmed legal challenges to their arrests and tactics.

During my reporting, I noticed more than a dozen people listed as U.S. citizens were arrested, according to the immigration dashboard.

After asking the state for an explanation, the number of U.S. citizens arrested suddenly changed to 1.

According to a Florida dashboard tracking state arrests of undocumented people, under 0.5% of those have a gang affiliation, demolishing claims of going after “criminals.” They have also detained a disturbingly high number of Guatemalans and Mexicans, signaling targeting of that community.

Not even the prospect of a $20 billion bailout paid by U.S. taxpayers is stabilizing Argentina after Milei’s peso/dollar manipulation failed. His sister (and chief of staff) is caught in a bribery scandal, and his top candidate was caught taking $200k from a narco. It’s over.
