I'm really proud of the amount of progress I've made in understanding and using Blender over the course of this year. Since getting my model, I've been trying to push myself to be able to model scenes and props and stuff to make lil renders, usually just for myself. Like today, I modeled my desk!

My body is a machine that turns vague ideas into non-manifold broken solids
Tried to make the #ruby gem by eye balling it for a commentor on HN. Came out alright!! I never really noticed how weird the cut is though? That's a perfect circle around the middle! LOTS o' NURBS.

A while ago I was thinking about starting a easy-to-self-host webapp that would act like a "DIY Patreon" for artists. Hearing about #blueskyblackout2025 is getting me thinking about it more seriously again.
Would that be neat? You'd have to self-host, but fedi-posting w/ paywall + fully custom HTML
