UK Labour Member. We won. Now let’s deliver. But taking money off vulnerable people is not the answer to the country’s problems. So let’s not do that 🫡
I agree. But should we be saying to organisations like Crisis (I single them out as I donate to them this time of year) to get off Twitter/X too? In fact, every major organisation I look at has a link to “X” on their Corporate comms. Shameful really.

Do you have a reference regarding ruling out seizing jewellery? I’m trying to counter this. Or feel free to counter it yourself.

Starmer spread his campaign resources wisely. Lab’s vote went down by a total of around 10% in its safe seats (which it held) and in seats where tactical voting helped the LibDems take the seat off the Tories. That should not be a difficult strategy for people to comprehend.

I’ve no idea what is being done behind the scenes or what has been said. But this problem actually started in the coalition years, when Cameron has heavily criticised for flooding the Board with Tory cronies and the LibDems, including Davey, did nout. It continued when the Dems were crushed in 2015.

Ed didn’t seem to have problems sitting in a Tory-led Cabinet that appointed Tory cronies to the BBC Board. Maybe I missed his protestations back then. 🤷🏼‍♂️
November 14, 2025 at 6:10 PM
I don’t disagree. But it’s easy for us to say (I say it all the time) and it’s equally easy for Ed to say, as he is not in government. But let’s not rewrite history, Cameron appointed a whole raft of cronies when Ed was in his Government. Where was Ed then?

Yeah, no different to when the government introduced the National Minimum Wage in 1998. It went from fear mongering to a success story.

Taking away their charitable status opened up a legal minefield and would have delayed being able to remove the VAT exemption, so a sensible compromise was reached on that one. The tax is actually going to raise more than estimated and is funding the breakfast clubs, so hardly a “dent”.

My experience is that the Greens talk a good talk but when it comes to reality, they block renewable energy projects, esp solar farms.
November 9, 2025 at 12:34 PM
Hang on. There is something wrong here as what you just described is at complete variance with the Estate Agent’s apology “letter”, where they say they agreed to apply for the licence on behalf of the Reeves’ household, but the agent suddenly left and it fell between the cracks.

How about Sunak breaking lockdown laws as well as all this 👇. Didn’t they all defend him then?

Yeah, agreed. Not to mention the house that Farage did not buy. Where did the money for that come from 🤷🏼‍♂️

Just a reminder of all the things it was ok for a Tory Prime Minister to get away with.

That is a point that I often make because it’s a very valid point. Unfortunately, sexual predators exist in all walks of life. But it’s abundantly clear why those paid to promote anti-Muslim hatred focus on this one particular community and not others 👇

YouGov is very clear, for example, that its polls are predictive and that they got it wrong for the London Mayor election.
October 24, 2025 at 3:23 PM
It’s not a starting point though. The fact that this a by-election, makes the vote more about what is going on in Westminster than the Welsh Senedd. The combined Reform/Tory vote in the seat was 32% last year. Welsh Labour has had a tough time in its own right, with 3 leaders in a year.

I know that devolved administration elections are different than Parliamentary elections but I think it’s fairer in many ways to compare this to GE2024. You can see that Labour was already on the decline and that Tory+Reform took them close to our total vote. Should have been fertile ground for Ref.

They are not only damaging but they are invariably wrong too - especially constituency polls. Do you remember this poll from Survation issued a week before the GE? Labour forecast to defeat Corbyn and take Islington North comfortably. 😂
October 16, 2025 at 2:36 PM
The country is being severely gaslit by our media. And what is Ofcom doing about it? Nothing. Despite the UK economy being one of the strongest among the G7, voters think our economy is among the worst.

Let’s.
October 7, 2025 at 1:55 PM
And have a National ID card. 🤷🏼‍♂️
October 7, 2025 at 1:55 PM
That account is following me again. So there is something wrong with the system. My follower numbers stay the same too when I block. 🤷🏼‍♂️
October 4, 2025 at 4:59 PM
That does not seem to happen with me. I blocked this spam account who followed me and then unblocked them. The process removed the follow.
October 4, 2025 at 4:48 PM
No. It was just Sunak who notionally extended the deadline by 5 years to 2035 but kept the EV mandate on the automotive industry the same - ie 2030.
