I really do miss the era of Rather, Brokaw, and Jennings during which I grew up. We were better informed. They were better reporters. Russert, Brinkley, Shieffer: the Sunday News shows meant something.

I live in North Dakota. The shot in the arm one gets from the first day each year the temperature rises above 40F is quite lovely.

Mitch McConnell reminds me of my one elementary school teacher who was really mean when I was a kid then turned nice in older age presumably to smooth their odds of getting into heaven.

The sooner EM and co. fall out of the president’s favor the better. Even the great and powerful EM eventually offers diminishing returns.

We mustn’t fool ourselves, the president’s actions and agenda are broadly popular in the country right now, and any successful opposition must start from this fact. “They’re all idiots” may be a satisfying brush off, and in some cases, true, but it also ultimately of limited utility.

We will see what happens but the whole “GOP voters will learn their lesson the hard way thing” is cutting against a media environment, including the right wing one, that primes its viewers to blame someone or some thing else

I grew up just a few miles south of Canada. I live an hour away now. Been there many times. Canada is a great country, and a true friend of the US.

Hillary Clinton couldn’t pass the purity tests. Nor could Biden or Harris. The Democratic Party destroyed itself from within bc too many made the perfect the enemy of the good. How can anyone be surprised whats’s followed the inauguration? But, you really showed ‘em with your votes for Jill Stein.
