Disgraceful
If Admiral Bradley didn’t realize before that these cowards were setting him up to take the fall, he knows it now. Time to hire a good lawyer.

Which Southern Reach bureaucrat would be most likely to enrage @jeffvandermeer.bsky.social by using generative AI to turn in their status report? Cheney seems likely, Control too cautious, Whitby would be offended. Old Jim though, at his lowest? Lowry, no freakin’ question.

Watching the NYC mayoral debate and it's amazing how Mamdani is dominating Cuomo. It's hard to know if Mamdani is a legit generational talent (I think maybe could be?) or if this is just what it looks like to run smart young charismatic candidates against gerontocracy @jonlovett.bsky.social?

First draft of my new novella The International Juggling Coaches Association Hall of Fame is done. If anyone on the internet wants to read and offer feedback, I'd be grateful. It's wildly overly ambitious, memorable and super weird. #weirdfiction

What’s the word where you’re from that, when pronounced exactly as it looks, identifies a tourist immediately?

Dems should absolutely not fund this insane gov, ever
The debate about whether to make it about ACA subsidies is moot; it’s not breaking through.
Republicans will abolish the filibuster which, honestly, we should have done when we had the chance

Yes!!! Wait, what???
President Trump told reporters that he was fine with NATO aircraft shooting down Russian aircraft should they enter NATO territory again.

Poland’s Deputy Prime Minister responded to that with “Roger that.”

Can you imagine the icy calm the biologist’s doppelgänger felt when being drowned (consumed) by the waves of (…light?) emanating from the “Crawler” (as if that name meant anything)? BUT NOW GHOSTBIRD CAN FOCUS ON THE WORDS OF THE TOWER/tunnel ALMOST AS IF OBSCURED BY A SHIMMERING BORDER FROM A VAST

In 1914, juggler-mathematician Edward Van Wyck discovered the act of juggling could shape time itself. Trapped in his 162-day loop, it's up to Van Wyck's protege, rival and a young potato farmer to break the pattern. But to do so means risking war, revolution, and loss. Coming Oct 1 to your #kindle!

Saul felt a small sliver of light, so tiny it was almost imperceptible, prick his thumb with a sharp tingling sensation. It reminded him, oddly, of a bowl of milk that had been left in the sun so long it had turned the color of parchment.

Soon after the rabbits started developing their horn warts.

Residents in Colorado spotted rabbits with black spurts on their head this week, drawing comparisons to zombies and Frankenstein's monster.
Why these wild rabbits have "horn-like" warts on their heads
The viral infection causing the horn-like growth spurts can come from ticks.

I know nothing matters anymore but people think 1 million Russians and maybe 400,000 Ukrainians have died in this war and we’re inviting this dude to visit Alaska on Friday? This war is like in the top 25 in casualties in world history.

I paused when I came upon the abandoned, lichen covered row boat. Was it real? Or some kind of… decoy from Silvina? The texture of that thought, so coarse in my throat. I decided it must be called Wet Sack and that it was my only hope of salvation at this late point.

I’m not really Abundance pilled even though I am the target audience. It’s the same old 1990s Bill Clinton corporate Dems stuff. I’m Zohran Mamdani pilled. Freeze the rent and nationalize the grocery stores. That’s my jam.

Sad to hear about Alan Hassenfeld passing. I was never more nervous than when I asked him to make a big gift to Nowell Academy to enable us to open a top notch childcare center. He graciously did and it’s been transformative for many parenting high schoolers in RI. May his memory be a blessing.

I don’t understand why this person wants this job. It seems so out of character. He belongs on a golf course in New Jersey harassing the wait staff about too much ice in his Diet Coke. It makes no sense.
Q: "The Pentagon paused some shipments of weapons to Ukraine. Did you approve that?...Who ordered the pause?"

Trump: "I don't know. Why don't you tell me."
