New York City. I haven’t been avoiding it, but I’m 51 years old and life has just never gotten around to landing there. Been to Rochester, DC, and even Boston multiple times, but to me NYC exists only as Sesame Street, Billy Joel, and Seinfeld have relayed it to me.
Forget about cities you’ve visited and loved. I want to know what your favorite US city you’ve never been to is. What city exists for you only as a perfect dream unsullied by experience

Coming back from SMT and seeing the energetic reconstruction here of the community we used to have on twitter is making my heart all kinds of happy.

Started using Finale 3.5 in college about 30 years ago… it was a nice improvement over MOTU’s Professional Composer. I’ve tried to use MuseScore several times, eventually quitting and saying, “ah, I’ll just do it in Finale.” Time to hunker down and figure it out, I guess 😕

Started using Finale 3.5 in college about 30 years ago… it was a nice improvement over MOTU’s Professional Composer. I’ve tried to use MuseScore several times, eventually quitting and saying, “ah, I’ll just do it in Finale.” Time to hunker down and figure it out, I guess 😕

Yes, the Strange New Worlds musical episode was cringy but you have to appreciate the big swings. Plus:
- it hit every musical mark (La’an’s I Want song, Chapel’s 11:00 number, etc.)
- a clear knowing wink to Buffy’s diegetic would with the bunnies line
- K(lingon)-pop

One of the differences between here and the bird app (right now, anyway) is that after scrolling for about five minutes I get caught up, which at first feels disappointing but then I realize no, that means it’s time to Turn Off The Thing and that’s okay

I haven’t seen Oppenheimer yet, but if you see this guy in a few scenes, know that it is my good friend Martin from high school and his hair doesn’t normally look like that, he was just amenable to the excited hairstylist who wanted to try it on him
