Stuff created in the past by @generaltekno.bttoons.com!

Art account for sharing old art to its own catalog. Will be largely non-interactive. Respond to the main account if you want proper interaction.
I drew a few more of these, but let's end tonight with the third one, featuring the introduction of two more "this was clearly drawn in 2003" characters -Dubya the Boy Blunder and the Grey Pilgrim.

The second comic introduced fellow "superhero" The Capitalist, aka "Fatman". Another character I've used as as recently as a couple years ago.

For context, this was the era when anti-movie piracy ads were playing in theatres, and this was lampooning a specific one.

Apropos of newer comic stuff I'm drawing right now.

Let's talk Captain Freedom!

He's a satirical "superhero" I created as a teenager for a high school newspaper comic back in 2003.

I think the original strip's title speaks for itself re: the tone I was going for with the character.

Hmmm it's been a week since I've posted anything here? Let's fix that.

Last week I shared some old Shiels/Nite cosplaying art, let's do some of Midori now!

From 2011, it's some art I did up for a YouTube intro graphic of Midori in space gear because it was a review for a Transformers DOTM figure.
April 2, 2024 at 2:46 PM
oh and it's NOT EVEN the first time Shiels and Nite have cosplayed as TFcon exclusives!

I drew that back in 2011 to use for YouTube video bumpers in my TFcon 2011 videos. And then doodled drunk variant art for funsies.

And yeah Bsky is ABSOLUTELY flagging these because of Nite's outfit
March 26, 2024 at 4:48 PM
And here's a 2015 sketch of Shiels cosplaying G1 Megatron, complete with hair dye/a wig.

At this point Nite had taken a backseat character conceptwise in that she was in conceptual background but I hadn't done anything with her for years at this point
March 26, 2024 at 4:40 PM
Fun fact: this is HARDLY the first time I've drawn Shiels and Nite cosplaying as Transformers characters (that aren't Lugnut), nor will it be the last.

Earliest instance is in fact, in 2010, when I drew them dressed as Classics and Henkei Megatron.

*sees a FB reminder of an image from 14 years ago* OH MY GOD I forgot about this picture!

Gurren Lagann tribute art I drew of Sari Sumdac from back in 2010.
March 22, 2024 at 3:49 AM
THIS is the one that really cemented these characters for me though, I think, and made me go "I want to do more with these characters; in fact I should do designs for ALL the Lugnut toys that have been made to date."

(Which I then continued on to do)
March 20, 2024 at 5:43 PM
I then continued with a few more doodles.

And did a proper redraw of the design with a different pose and still palette swapping.

OC Origins time!

Back in the distant past of 2010 I got the idea in my head to do anime girl versions of various Lugnut toys.

I forget what SPECIFICALLY prompted it. Probably a combo of leaning into my Lugnut fandom and thinking of the trend of anthropomorphizing things as anime girls.

ANYWAY-

Further on the theme of Transformers Animated - I'm not 100% sure on the original context of this drawing but here's a 2009 sketch of the late Derrick Wyatt dressed as Swindle.

This was drawn in August so it would have been after I'd gotten to meet him at TFcon Toronto earlier that year. RIP.

Huh it's been a few days since I've dug through my archives for a new post! And I have no shortage.

Let's post some old digibashes then! These are concepts I did back in 2008 of Gurren Lagann digibashes from TFA Bumblebee and Prowl. Classic "I forgot I'd ever done these up until I was scrolling"

Most recent art I have of Tash that I can find is from 2015, and even then it's an AU version of her for BT Toons continuity that never actually got used anywhere.

Was trying to redesign her are a trendier high schooler while keeping elements of her classic outfit intact.
March 9, 2024 at 1:03 AM
Tash with her hair down, from 2008. Was very explicitly giving her a more armored outfit here for story reasons.

Honestly she's a character near and dear to me and I'm kinda sad I've not used her in anything in YEARS, considering how much I love her character and her overall arc I plotted out.
March 9, 2024 at 1:01 AM
Tash's character design has actually not changed massively from the fundamentals as I've always loved her design.

By 2004 this is how I was drawing her. Simplified, but she gained a flight jacket at this point. (I KNOW I have a bunch of paper sketches in my archives of her with the jacket).

Let's post another Toriyama tribute from my archives, because hey I have more than one character who I directly owe to his work.

This is the original art for my OC Tash, created to slot into my Technoraptor universe Probably drawn around 2001 or so. DEFINITE Toriyama aesthetic influence in her.
March 9, 2024 at 12:54 AM
Nate as he appeared by 2005, in low poly Warcraft III model form. He is fully rigged.

Pretty much the ONLY constant between the two images was his name and the bandana. He got a HEAVY design revamp when I decided to use him again in high school, complete with being aged down. This is that version.
March 8, 2024 at 4:00 PM
Let's dig through my pictures folder for another archival thing!

Oh hey something ancient that's ABSOLUTELY Toriyama influenced. Probably from 2000-2001.

This was the original original sketch for my OC Nate when I was crafting him as "generic game protagonist." HYPER DBZ influenced.

What if Samus Aran was a Transformer? What would the most appropriate altmode be?

I came up with this back in 2020 for a Transformers TTRPG I was playing in - my character, "Bailer", was a Loadbearer based off the Space Hunter.

Inner robot's altmode was a Diagnostic Drone from Beast Machines.
March 7, 2024 at 5:42 PM
And here's her modern design from 2019, around when I was settling on her aesthetic. All the key elements fairly settled aside from how I draw my cat characters (which as established changed in 2023).

By this point she'd been moved over to a non-BT Toons story universe instead.
March 6, 2024 at 3:48 PM
Checking my archives it looks like it was 2016 where I first hit on the idea that a) she has grey fur instead b) she dyes it pink.

You can see though that some elements would remain constant like the hair flower and dress. The flower dates back to EARLY prototype Nya designs, incidentally.
March 6, 2024 at 3:45 PM
On the subject of my OC Melody - though I refined her design over the last few years, she actually has been in development as an OC for probably a decade now?

*checks date modified* 2011 WHAT ALMOST 13 YEARS *spittakes*

Anyway yeah that's a prototypical version of her in the middle.

Top down sprites for my D&D warlock Winnie. (2020) What a fun character she was to play.

Drew these once we migrated to VTT setups for our sessions due to pandemic.

I'm finding all kinds of stuff I forgot I'd done!

This one was a Balrog I drew back in 2005. I believe this one was done with colored pencils that I then added a gradient background to when I scanned it in.
