OC Origins time!
Back in the distant past of 2010 I got the idea in my head to do anime girl versions of various Lugnut toys.
I forget what SPECIFICALLY prompted it. Probably a combo of leaning into my Lugnut fandom and thinking of the trend of anthropomorphizing things as anime girls.

OC Origins time!
Back in the distant past of 2010 I got the idea in my head to do anime girl versions of various Lugnut toys.

Further on the theme of Transformers Animated - I'm not 100% sure on the original context of this drawing but here's a 2009 sketch of the late Derrick Wyatt dressed as Swindle.
This was drawn in August so it would have been after I'd gotten to meet him at TFcon Toronto earlier that year. RIP.

She was scarcely a year old when she was abandoned/taken in by an evangelical sect that sought to "fix" sapient animals and adopt them out as pets.
Sadly the experience did break her.
She's since recovered somewhat. But is still very skittish around people.

This one was a Balrog I drew back in 2005. I believe this one was done with colored pencils that I then added a gradient background to when I scanned it in.

This one was an experimental mix of a pencil sketch and then doing a bunch of postprocessing to add flames and smoke and such. Always thought the end result was pretty neat.

More re: Mew's design - so what's The Deal with that symbol on his chest that looks like some sort of a weird K?
It has its origins in Mew being a Team Rocket Pokemon - his original redesign had an R on the collar.
Then in science class I learned about the "mu" symbol. So I made it look "R"ish.
