Uncomfortably aggressive.
“I’m sort of like Costco. I’m big, I’m not fancy, and I dare you to not like me.”
Nothing can match prime Manny & Ortiz (unless we bring greenie’s & steroids back), but I yearn for a right-hand hitting stud (Pete or Bo) to go with our left-hand hitting stud for the next few years.

Pasquatch or Polanco would be nice to have, but I continue to want them to aim higher.

I mean there’s a reason why housing in California is so expensive and cheap in Nebraska…

I remember a couple years ago someone saying Bogey was gonna be miserable in San Diego and he didn’t prioritize winning. Yeah it must be tough not playing where it’s 40 degrees or raining.

To say nothing about the fact that his new team has been miles better than the one he left since then.

I’m wary of Casas’ health, but all the other stuff: the production, the “weirdness” is all noise to me. Just stay healthy.

Plus, we need to see a season of Casas with the ABS challenge system in place. No more getting screwed on pitches six inches off the plate because umps don’t like him.

People dump on pro athletes because they “can’t take it” if they don’t wanna play in Boston or Philly or NY. But if I were a pro athlete, I’d be perfectly content with finding a small market with nice weather and a fanbase that isn’t made up of sickos, and just go play in San Diego or wherever.

If I were a player, I wouldn’t wanna play in New York either. Honestly, I probably wouldn’t wanna play in Boston for that matter. You can get paid and win a ring someplace that the weather isn’t shit.

People get so pressed about it and it’s annoying.

It’s a fair point. We should always make time to sustain our Machado hatred!

This just makes me angry at Manny Machado again.

Elected a guy who was a smidge over league average until age 30 when he “started choking up on the bat” *wink wink* and started mashing dingers outta nowhere.

Glad to see the voters are keeping the game pure…

Exactly. Aside from obvious criminals (I’m talking about OJ & Aaron Hernandez types) I don’t care about the juicers. Baseball looked the other way (if not encouraging it outright) when it served their purpose for years and now wants to act righteous about it.

It’s what they do best.

Remember when Tim Walz gave the Harris campaign energy & momentum with the whole “Republicans are super weird” routine, and then some Democrat consultants said “we can’t have that!” and rolled out Liz Cheney for the rest of the campaign?

Good stuff… 😕

I would love to know their honest evaluation of someone like Campbell. If they really believe in him, I could see them moving Duran AND Abreu (separately) for infield and pitching help and rolling with Campbell/Rafaela/Anthony in the OF.

This is the exact thing I’m thinking halfway through…
