Absolutely, but… she looks like a 35 year old *trying to look like* a 16 year old. It’s crazy.

“Jenna, what year were you born?”

It’s crazy. There are so many people who talk about growing up with chronic asthma because of all the air pollution, and that’s on the “easy” end of outcomes. And it’s not even a place like Cleveland or Pittsburgh or Wilmington where there were more industries, it was just a couple of companies.

Like, for decades our country’s approach to dealing with large scale industrial waste was to take a drag of a cigarette with triple arsenic content and then just bury it wherever. Environmentalism isn’t just mpg standards that make your car a little more expensive.

That ad campaign was hilarious because it was like, "to anyone who ever liked our pizza: No, you're wrong."

We've been waiting so long since Pope Anacletus, I see now it was just a question of the right time rolling around for Pope Cletus I.

Also, the laffer curve is an immutable law of nature that says we always have to cut taxes, no matter what, even if we just cut them a ton.

I read it more as, “I’m trying to help you out, and catching a lot of flak for it, I might add, but it’s all in service of stopping these attacks against your good name. Speaking of attacks, can we talk about the rape island thing? I think it’s gonna keep coming up.”

I mean, a lot of them sound like the obvious pseudonym a fugitive uses to check into a motel in a noir film, but that’s not a mark against it in my book, and my friend, Spaulding Pierce, feels the same way.

I read those excerpts and I felt a chill remembering every time since college when I thought, “maybe I should try writing something,” and then abandoned it without typing a single word because what was bouncing in my head sounded like this. You have to be your own first line of defense.
