Spotted towhees are one of my favorites. I find they’re usually quite shy so I was impressed this one stuck around long enough for me to film them.

Found a green heron fledgling in a parking lot!
These are cryptic little guys and it was an exciting first to see one.
I gently walked him away from the very busy nearby road, back toward the river and wished him luck.
