Hey @wmata.com , @wmatagm.bsky.social — can we maybe not let the Trump administration use our municipal buses to recruit ppl to terrorize our neighbors, put people in cages, etc.? Thanks so much.

GOP Rep. Mike Turner: "There is very grave concern in Congress about these strikes in general. These individuals are not being subject to criminal prosecution, and if we they were subject to criminal prosecution, there's no capital punishment."

Sauer saying something is unconstitutional because it "would be unconstitutional under Justice Scalia's dissent" is a remarkably cogent statement of the Roberts Court's approach to precedent.

Yes, this. Navy Seals literally invaded Libya, kidnapped Abu Khatallah, put him on a slow boat back to the United States with the FBI, and then tried him (unsuccessfully) for orchestrating Benghazi.
This.

The strikes in the Caribbean are just lawless, gratuitous, performative slaughter.
Himes: If you've got the capability to blow a boat out of the water, you've got the capability to interdict it, arrest everyone on board, interrogate them, and find out where it was going, where it came from, who the bosses are, and what the distribution networks look like.

My god.
You know that boat the administration blew up? A former law enforcement official told the NYT the boat seemed to be carrying not drugs but *’migrants *

A reminder that the US sent a Navy Seal wet team into Libya to *arrest* the guy accused of orchestrating BENGHAZI. He was then slow-boated back to the US with the FBI and charged with US crimes. So in what world did the US *need* to kill the alleged drug trafficking Venezuelans on the boat?
